  • Notice of proposed allocation to the fast track

    Hi ,
Does anyone know how to fill in the Form 181 ? it came this morning and im in a tail spin because I could not find a solicitor and am trying to do it all myself.
I really wish we could go to mediation. Any help or advice would be great .

    See Part A, settlement.

All you have to do is communicate to the other party your suggestion of mediation. If you don't ask, it is less likely to happen.

What else about the form do you need guidance with?

Do you understand that if this case is allocated to the Fast Track, you risk being ordered to pay the other party's legal costs if you lose?
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

If you are representing yourself in litigation, you really should download and read this: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

        Hi
I have asked the claimant to go to mediation 4 times and will write again to his solicitor as it askes you this on the form.
I have an expert that has written a report for me. He lives 450 miles away and is being treated for Myeloma and is too ill to attend ,I would not even ask him. How and where on the form should I explain this for the Judge?
I have been allocated Northampton which many miles from where I live. How would I ask to change to a nearer court?
I am in a public library and only get 1 hour a day online.
I will be back in the morning. Thankyou for your reply.
