    Hi everyone
I had a provident loan out maybe 6/7 years ago, the balance was taken over by lowell, iv been paying £2 pm im not working as been signed off sick..I have been told by a friend that I dont need to pay lowell back my provident debt as provident went bust..is this correct? I have recently stopped payments from my bank, but no doubt they'll be back on my case soon.. Thank you any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for your response, I just thought maybe they couldn't collect a debt for a company that is no longer up and running
