  • Implied (i.e. no written) contract in construction

    Hello,

Does anyone know if, given I don't have a written contract with my ex builder, there are implied guarantees and warranties in place regardless?

Can he be held to account for material defects and poor building quality under my Consumer Rights?

    Thank you

That may be the case. Did you contract as a consumer?

I guess this is the same ongoing situation.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now in academia. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read this: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

Hi, Yes it is the same case. I was having an extension built on my house, so yes I was the consumer of the services being provided by the builder.
