  • Wrongly issued ccj stopping me getting mortgage

Morning, first time posting so hope i'm in right place, my wife and i recently applied for a mortgage but were turned down by the mortgage advisor who said there was something showing on my credit file and that i would need s specialist mortgage broker to deal with it, at this moment i am unaware that there is a ccj on my credit file, we contact specialist mortgage company who do a quick credit search and he informs us that there is a ccj on my credit file, my wife is not too happy and wants to know what i've been doing with our money etc, the mortgage broker says he can get us a mortgage but will be paying silly money way over the top kf what we should be paying and its all because of the ccj, turns out the ccj should have been given to my son but got put on my credit file instead, is there a quick way of having this removed its been on my credit file since June 2021 & would not have known about it unless we had applied for mortgage, we have a deadline to complete mortgage 30th january 2023 as we are buying house through right to buy scbeme, can we claim compensation if we prove this ccj has stopped us getting the house/ mortgage, thanks

Is all that really just one sentence?

You may need to apply to set the CCJ aside:: see the shortcuts section.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
