  • Just been caught shoplifting

I’ve just been caught shoplifting at sainsburys. I’m ashamed and embarrassed. I’m going through a very rough time
both mentally and financially and I did something drastically out of character for me.

I shoplifted a bottle of whisky a few days ago and didn’t get stopped and today went to the same store and shoplifted a top. I was caught on the way out and questioned. The security guard said she knows that I shoplifted the alcohol a few days ago as has it on camera. She said she recognised me and watched me on camera today.

She said I needed to go back inside and pay ans I would be banned from the store. I panicked and ran.

I’m stressing now. What should I do. Should I go to the store and pay or should I go to the police station and admins what I did.

Do sainsbury have your name and address?

Certainly don't go to the police.

No, they don’t. Not unless they can obtain it from me using a debit card there.

So just avoid that particular shop for the next few months and you'll probably not hear anymore about the incidents.

if anything does pop up come back to this thread

Now relax and enjoy your Christmas
