  • Parcel company dispute can anyone advise please

I used a parcel compare company to send a parcel abroad, I weighed it as 11 kg ,and measured it ( I didn't photograph myself doing it) i paid approx £200 delivery, the company are now saying I owe anther £345 because after weighing and measuring they are saying volumetric weight was 115kg which is impossible ,I have a picture of their courier lifting it and puttinging it in van.
I told them I wanted to see evidence of their discrepancy, they won't show me any, I can't and won't pay this much ,now have had the threatening email about courts and baliffs, ive had no written letters. Please can anyone
tell me where do i stand of this?

Weight and volumetric weight appear to be different things (I have just looked this up). It seems that there can be a significant discrepancy between the two.

      Hello

Can you tell us which parcel comparison company you went with? Most of these types of companies do ask you for the actual weight of the package or the volumetric weight by working out the size of the package rather than the actual weight. If you have given the correct weight and measurements of the package then the onus is on the parcel company to provide the evidence. 115kg is likely to be a two-person job and the fact you have a photo of the driver putting it into their van contradicts the company's suggestion that your parcel was that weight.

Have you shared your photo with the company?

Also, are you able to upload the emails so we can see what they are saying to you and make sure to remove your personal info if you do. Sounds like some scare tactics I think but need to understand the contents before making further comments.

Hi it is parcel compare I used,it seems now looking at reviews they are known for this, yes I have sent pictures to them but they said they don't prove anything, they say that the parcel was larger then I said and that I should have photographed me measuring it,it seemed I missed them saying that in their terms and conditions, although I definitely measured it and put in the correct size in my opinion,if they measured it larger the size would be minute,I would rather go to court and offer them a £1 a month than pay their ridiculous amount, not only I cant afford it but the principle of the matter , it seems its my word against theirs

Was the parcel delivered to the address abroad or do the company still have it
