My company was dissolved in 2013 so I am outside the 6 year Court application limit. Can anyone advise what I can do to get it restored ?

May I ask why, and also why you have not done this sooner? Also, under which section(s) of the Companies Act was the company dissolved? This may be relevant to the question whether you may now do this.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

I assume it was a voluntary dissolution?
why would you want it restored? Wouldn't it be cheaper to start again entirely?

dslippy it will be to do with an asset - cash in a bank account or maybe even a property owned by the company.

The company was compulsory struck off as no returns finally sent. I now have found a barrister to assist me and she said we need to get my old company registered again to bring a claim against a former business partner who transferred 550k from my business account and put it as a Share Premium in a bank account in another company which he made me 49% shareholder in. She was going to request return of the money from him but has just seen my company was dissolved too long ago. My reading today seems to show it is impossible to get the Limitation Act extended. My Barrister has advised against trying to liquidate the latter company as judges don't like granting it. Andrew

What does your barrister advise? I think you will have a problem getting thic company restored now. You have not explained your delay.

How do I find out which Company Act? This is what is stated on Company register:

              COMPULSORY STRIKE OFF SUSPENDED (DISS16(SOAS))
              Form type: DISS16(SOAS)
              Date: 2011.09.17
              Company number 04497467

I have only know found someone to look further into my case but only just realised when my company was dissolved. My ex-business partner will not communicate with me so I did not know how to proceed.

If you have a barrister advising, it seems a little unnecessary to be asking here questions which he / she might well answer.
