I had a quarantine building at our parent's land, with both parent's consent, at the time years ago the cost was approx 45K, which included all alarms in the walls, extractor fan fitted with hepper filters, and fully tiled as per speck of the Ministry, now both parents have passed, the property was left to a family member, the problem is I have been told the building belongs to be, and politely told to bugger off, do I have a claim to try and recover any sums of money.

Oh dear. Why do people not get things agreed and nailed down in writing?
What - if anything - did you agree with your parents at the time? What evidence is there of this?Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

ATTICUS I completely understand your point you were not being abrupt. The agreement was verbally agreed upon with the parents. There was never any problem and the building was in use for a few years, in fact, our Father was in control on many occasions, and compensated the problem started when I was asked for 30K and I refused him, so it's payback time.
