  • Council Tax Debt:Deceased Estate

    Hi Everyone

A member of my family passed away recently and left an outstanding council tax debt. The element of the debt is ‘court summonses’. These date from 2006 - 2021. As the administrator of his estate, are ‘court summonses’ liable to be paid from his estate?

    Thanks for any help.

Yes. They are a debt of the estate, and payable by the administrator/executor from the estate.
