A sum of money is missing from our company safe - there are FIVE employees who had access to the safe during the period the monies went missing. All deny any knowledge. There is no CCTV at the safe. What options to we have?

Worrying situation when you can't trust one of the trusted!
Regarding current loss, depending on the amount you either write it off or report it to the police and make an insurance claim.
Going forward I would suggest you change your operating mode and start using dual control foe access to the safe or money -

If there are two possible suspects, a court might allow you to dismiss both. ith five it would be a push.
What is more difficult is differentiating between equal suspects without having good reason to do so.
How much is missing?

Has it been reported to the police?
I don't suppose you had Employee Theft Insurance / Employee Dishonesty cover?
Call a meeting with all five, make sure they have a writing desk in front of them.
Get five sheets of paper and pens. Ask each person to write down in detail what they were doing when you believe the money went missing.
Also what about other people with access, cleaners etc.Comment
