  • N9B Defence and Counter Claim

I have received 2 separate defence and counter claim documents in 2 small claims against a garden landscaper today, however having read the document, they have both been signed (actually printed as not hand signed) by a staff member and NOT the defendant (i.e. the company owner) that I named in the claim. Does this make it void?

    No.

Why have you made a claim against the owner and not the company? The distinction has been covered in several of your threads recently.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

You are asking questions related to different claims (unfortunately). The owner (in this case) is 'the owner' (of the company, but not a registered company, were the claim is against an unlimited company), and you are assuming my claim was to only 1 defendant when it wasn't. My claim is against an unlimited company and the 'company' owner. Can I ask anyone that reads these messages to stop with with the questions for questions replies, it feels like a point scoring exercise and a bit if an ego boost session if I am being honest.
