  • PPI invoice for work done

    Hi,
I received some PPI from a bank through a claim company (A) in March 2019.

In July 2019 after being bombarded with offers of PPI searches I signed up for another company (B) to look for PPI, in case company (A) had missed some. After several months they informed me of checks that they had done with no success. The last correspondence I had with them was in December 2019.
In May 2022 I received letters and emails from company (B) asking me to sign Letters of Authority for a loan and for a credit card at the same bank that I previously received PPI from in 2019 with company (A) I was surprised to receive this due to not hearing from them since 2019. I ignored the letters, but now I have received a letter from them stating I owe them costs of £546 for the loan search and £564 for the credit card search. It also states that unless I pay within 14 days I may incur further charges.

I am now having sleepless nights worrying about this. Can they legally ask me for this money considering it is 2 1/2 years since I heard from them? Any advice would be appreciated.

    thanks
