  • Bus lane

I’ve unknowingly driven in a bus lane in Bristol in February i then re is letter in April saying I’ve been fined £90 because I haven’t responded to the first letter (I did not receive the first letter) do I have to pay the £90 I feel it’s unfair because had I received the first letter the amount would have been lower.

I have they have said to wait for an order of recovery but I’m worried that the amount will increase further.

Oh dear, that is a pretty pathetic answer that you have been given. Ask to speak to a manager. And then to his or her manager.

The risk is that if you don't pay the £90, it will end up costing you a lot more. They are playing on that.

I’ve just spoken to the council they are saying there’s nothing they can do at this stage I have to appeal but pay to have the form witnessed by my local county court.

The cpouncil is right. Wait for the OfR and then submit a Stautory Declaration. The OfR will tell you how to do this. You can have the SD witnessed for free at your local County Court (Appointment needed) or at a solicitors who usually charge around £8-£10
