Roadside fence

I have a 6foot garden fence directly adjoining a main A road ( no verges) who is responsible for the fence, me the homeowner or highways?

Who are you, if not the homeowner?

The simple answer is going to be that if you want privacy and security for your garden, you are going to have to maintain the fence.
