Hello thank you for your replies and interest.
BGas set up an account to our house. They don’t have our name. But they say they supply electricity to us and they do not. They have put it in hands of debt collectors and I need to contact them to make sure they don’t visit as we don’t have a supply with BG. We have gone through complaints procedure to no avail. Haven’t gone to ombudsman as don’t want to disclose our name. We aren’t indent to any utility company.

Yes. You have identified need to inform debt collectors of the full situation. Make sure you keep full records of communications. Advise them of they pursue you, you may take legal action.
Not committing yourself but showing your determination.
I also suggest contacting Citizens Advice.
I hope atticus will post as he knows what he is talking about.

Hi thanks for reply and I contacted RICHBURNS Customer Services via email stating the facts. I am half expecting someone from the company to call. That’s what happened last year with Avarto. I started a thread in Utilities. Atticus did reply. We are feeling harassed and it takes a lot of time fending off BRITISH GAS and their incompetence.
