  • Claim against a judge or police help please

A brief summary is: I was wrongly charged with an offence and was sentenced to 24 months, the judge got my name wrong twice and as I corrected him twice, he took a dislike to me and added an extra month on so it couldn’t be suspended. This was July 2016. 9 weeks into my sentence, my husband committed suicide so I have a life sentence to serve. I put a complaint in to the police while I was still in custody but got fobbed off.
I’ve been told I can bring a case of involuntary manslaughter as my husband had told his probation officer he wouldn’t cope without me. Any advice would be very helpful, thank you

I am sorry for your loss. Did you appeal your conviction and win? If not, you are not considered "wrongly charged" in the eyes of the law. Presumably you were released around July 2017? Why have you waited until now to make a further complaint? I would sincerely doubt that you could bring a case of involuntary manslaughter but others who know more in this area than I will hopefully comment soon.
