  • Difficult solicitor

Hello everyone, my name is Ann-Marie, I have been waiting for probate for nearly three years after a relative passed away, during this time (three months ago) the solicitor asked that I send him the premium bonds that came with the estate, which I did, not long after he said he needed bank details to transfer the funds from the bonds, this was done, however several times he has stated a date of the transfer of funds and each time he has had an excuse……. The last excuse was “solicitors tend to get hacked and this causes problems” this is very frustrating as he is not only difficult to contact but is five and a half hours away.
Am I being too impatient or do I need to worry and if so what can I do?

This will help you - https://www.lawsociety.org.uk/en/pub...ut-a-solicitor.

This has gone on far too long without special circumstances and unless you press the matter with a formal complaint, you are likely to wait months more.

Write a letter and as a heading put 'FORMAL COMPLAINT.' listing the problems you have has

This will require the firm's complaints officer to comply with regulations and reply in a stated time and to notify his firms insurance company that a complaint has been made. The rest you will see in the attached.

    Good luck
