  • Further steps notice letter - OOTB??

Hi there. Out of the blue, my ex-wife of 8 years of whom I have not lived with for over 10 has brought a letter from Greater Manchester Accounts and Enforcement Unit - addressed to an unofficial name of mine to an address I have NEVER resided in asking me to pay £832 with no actual reason as to why this is due and what it is for. Worrying and annoying - I presumed this must be a sc - none of it adds up at all - not my real name never been my address but because it has gone to my ex wife and it’s a name I have been known as years ago - am automatically assuming it is something to do with me - but I have paid all my bills and have mo knowledge whatsoever of any reason for this!

Thanks everyone for the replies. Phoned up the lady basically said someone was trying it on - trying to clutch at straws saying they had a new lead but nothing so case closed. Again thanks everyone for all your responses I’m helping me get sorted lol
