hi a friend was late returning to their car after paying for a ticket they overstayed by 21 mins there were some mitigating circumstances for the delay but Napier were not interested,so they decided just to pay the £60 initial fine but on calling up they were a day late and Napier wouldn't accept it .
They then get letters from BW Legal requesting the sum of £160 which they haven't responded to , today they get a letter from BW Legal 'letter of Claim' offering to pay the £160 or face £253.00 fine if proceeds to court , should they just pay ? they were late yes , but feel they tried the make the payment and now its got to this any advise for them thankyou ?
