Right of way

My neighbour has right of way over my driveway, I have erected a gate to keep my puppy safe from busy road outside but the neighbour keeps leaving it open Eddie being asked politely to close it. What do I do?

Fix a self closing gate hinge, or preferably keep the puppy fenced away from the drive.
I would opt for the second suggestion as puppies have a habit of escaping even when gated premises are used with care.
That is the advice following 50 years plus of dog owning and breeding

You cannot force your neighbour to close it to close it
