I own an apartment which I no longer reside in due to ongoing fire saftey and cladding issues it cannot be sold or let out. I have been privatley renting for over 12 months and reside in my rental property. I am considering buying a main residence however want to be clear if I will be liable for additional stamp duty as my main residence is rented and the new home will become my main residence going forward? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
