How to have post redirected by Post Office when unable to write signature?

My wife's Brother is suffering from Parkinson's and he has needed to go into a Nursing Home.
He is very mentally aware but his speech is not very good and he is also unable to write or sign anything.
He wishes to have his post redirected from his home to the Nursing Home, but according to the Post Office forms he needs to sign for this and only Him, is there a way around this?
He does not have an LPA
