    Hello please could you help
    i have received penalty from HMRC saying I have filled half of the self assessment only for the April 2019
    i don’t understand how possible is that as I was doing self assessment a year later as I do every year and they just came now after all these years saying I did not filled it.Please help

    It is ridiculous, but you need to clarify that it is correct. Big departments like HMRC get things wrong all the time. The best way to clarify what they are saying is to send them a Subject Access Request, they will send you all the data they have on your tax affairs for the last 6 years. Also all HMRC penalty fines can be appealed.

    So get the facts / data first, then if you disagree Appeal their decision.
