Hi i received a letter from Avant credit that they have sold my debt to a company called Perch capital i have not received any post from perch capital but did receive the following email.
On and with effect from 09/12/2021, AvantCredit have assigned all of their rights, title, interest and benefits in and to your account(s) referenced above to Perch Capital Limited (company registration number 11207867) (“Perch Capital”). This means that AvantCredit no longer own the debt. Perch Capital are now the legal owners.
Perch Capital has since appointed us, ACI, to manage your account(s) on their behalf.
What do you need to do now?
No further action is required from you - Perch has chosen to close your account. If you have a balance outstanding, this will be written down to £0.00. We are writing to you as we are obliged to inform you of the assignment of the debt.
Does this mean i now owe the debt to ACI or Perch have written off the debt altogether
