We have just found out that an HMO is being developed in our small row of terraced houses. I think that there should be a notice outside the property clearly displaying this which there is not. Has anyone had experience of objecting to an HMO to Bromley Council? The houses are small 3 bedroom terraced houses and this is being turned into a 5 bedroom occupation. There are only 6 parking bays for our properties so this is is going to be an issue. Any advice would be much appreciated. I have seen a planning application on the council website now for this. How can we object?
Hmo building work started few doors away

There should have been a notice displayed at the front of the property notifying third parties of the application and inviting comments within 21 days
There are only limited reasons for objections that will be upheld: e.g unsuitability of the applicant, fire risk, Noise & anti social behaviour etc
Whether or not a possible shortage of parking spaces will be considered a suitable reason is unlikely, and if Planning permission has already been granted I doubt it will be reversed.
If building work has commenced prior to a grant of PP, report that to council enforcement officer
