  • Letter before action - can I send it through text/whatsapp?

I hope this is not a dumb question but I can't find any explicit information about this online.. Could I send a 'letter before action' through text or whatsapp instead of posting an actual letter/email? We've contacted each other through text/whatsapp since buying the car. No issue with regards to sending an actual letter, this is just much quicker.

I would actually send it via letter as pre action protocols, he signs to say he has received it. You get Proof of Postage.

I see, thank you. With regards to the chargeback from the last post, I paid via bank transfer rather than debit card so that's not really an option and unfortunately I'm forced to go through this process...

I would not usually send via signed for as it can be refused. 2 letters with proof of postage (free of charge) from 2 different post offices has always been my favourite method. A judge may believe he did not receive one but not two!
