primark shoplifting ban

i know it was stupid and it will never happen again, but i was caught shoplifting in Primark. i (17) was taken into a back room, bag searched,details like name address and phone number taken, parents called, and told i was banned from all of their stores. they didn’t tell me how long this ban was for, and i was just wondering if anyone could help me with a timeframe? no plans to go in there again but would be nice to know rather than guess just in case. as a timeline wasn’t specified, does this mean it’s for life??? thanks

Well they haven't given you a period for 'the ban', so in theory that could be a day, a week, a month, a year etc.

Give it a few months and see how it goes. If you receive a 'speculative invoice', then post the details of the letter here.
