The seller has already offered you a refund which you can accept, and still pursue them for damages
Ok I will email them to refund me for the product and chase a response on the compensation for damages.

    Thanks a lot!

Ok. I'm emailing them to refund me for the product first and then hopefully once I reach some conclusion on the compensation of the damages, I will contact Trading Standards via CAB.
      Thank you so much!

Hello good folks, I'm struggling with this one still. Emailed the manager a couple of times now and have not had a response. They're basically ignoring me. It's now been around 2 months so not sure what to do here. Any suggestions?

Have you contacted CAB so that Trading Standards can look into it? as 'product safety' is a concern.
You can't have products fall off the wall.

or you can start getting heavy and tell them that as they have a further 7 days to make the refund as offered and accepted.
Advise them that failure will leave you no option but to initiate a county court claim without reference to themselves

Also Chargeback's are time sensitive, whilst you are hoping the merchant will contact you, time to file a Chargeback is running out.

Hey mate. I hadn't yet tbh. I thought that I might just be able to resolve it with Wallart-Direct but you're completely right, I should have contacted CAB. I'll give them a call Monday morning and let you all know what they say.

Hello mate, thanks for the advice. Could you elaborate on what's required to initiate a county court claim, please? Will I need to hire a lawyer? Also, what do you mean by "without reference to themselves"?

One you won't need a solicitor.
Two "without reference to themselves" means that if they don't pay you will not be warning them again but will start county court proceedings
Three If it comes to court we'll help you through the process of writing your claim & witness statement.
Court fees which depend on the amount you are claiming are relatively low, and reimburse by defendant when you win

Thank you for clarifying buddy. It's so kind of you all to offer help like this, I really appreciate it. I will update you soon on my discussions with CAB and wallart-direct.
