I am defending a claim going back nearly 4 years from a water company. I acknowledged service after 12 days online and sent defence to court within 13 days(handwritten on response pack). I have received a letter from the court acknowledging the receipt of the defence. Haven't heard anything since that later (nearly a month ago now). I am worried because I have read the CPR rules and it states that a copy of the defence must be served on the claimant. I have not done this, could my defence be struck out and a default judgement entered?

Thanks for your reply. The issue is, I filed an acknowledgement of service online but when I tried to file the actual defence, It didn't recognise my claim number or password. I then had to file the defence on paper. All I see is below and it still doesn't recognise my claim number and passwordOriginally posted by echat11 View PostHi MICHEKLET
Log onto your MCOL account, that should have all the latest court entries for you case. See what it says, update the thread with what it says.
