Hello. My grandfather passed away and left a will with me as the beneficiary of a mortgage in the house I'm currently living at. The executor is my aunt. He passed away this January and so far my executor hasnt been able to put the mortgage onto my name. She's mentioned that a probate would be required but that she doesn't have money to pay for it. She has not provided a copy of my grandfather will. How do I go over acquiring the mortgage when she doesn't want or is incapable of opening a probate? What if she used the estate to pay for personal costs which could of have been paid for opening a probate? Can I open a probate by my own and what do I require? Thanks
