  • Tfl issued pcn more than 14 days after the bus lane contravention occurred

Hi. I went onto the bus lane on 21/08/2021 on A23 in Coulsdon. I straightaway knew that I made a mistake and have been waiting for the PCN ever since. I received it by post today (22/09/2021) and on the letter issue date is mentioned as 17/09/2021. My question is that, Do they have to send a letter within 14 days, if so then if I appeal against it will it be cancelled? I have attached photograph of the letter for your convenience. Looking forward for a swift reply.

Time limit for council to issue Penalty Charge Notice is 28 days.

If no reason to dispute best take advantage of 50% discount.
