Visa enquiry - does anyone on here have visa experience?

Brexit has caused a problem for a musician friend of mine. He is resident in Spain with a non-UK passport. Before Brexit he had the right to work as a musician in the UK but now he can only enter for 30 days to perform without getting a work visa. Does anyone know if there is a time limit before he can return for another 30 days or is he commited to go through the process of getting a work visa.
