  • Silly Claim ?

I am being taken to court by one parking solution, who’s solicitors are DCB Legal Ltd for the non payment of 4 parking tickets. I was parked was in a parking space I had a right to park in. i.e.I am a resident, and the parking is for residents only. It was just that I was not displaying the parking permit because I had lost it. I reported this to the managing agent, and they added my registration to the 'allowed to park list' and get the tickets deleted. I got numerous letters asking me to pay the fine, which I ignored, because I had informed the managing agent. I have now been sent a claim form from the county court business centre. Obviously I am going to defend this case, but is there anything I should know before I do. Note I am also the landowner together with my fellow residents. In your opinion do they have a case.

If you are the landowners who does one parking solutions have a contract with?

I presume you are leaseholders. What does your lease say about parking? What do the signs say?
