  • Problems with NewDay

    Hi,
I wonder if any of you lovely people could give me some advice, please?
I'll try and keep it simple!
I have two cards issued by NewDay, an Aqua card and a Marbles card, both of which are up-to-date and within their credit limits and payments made on time of the full balances.
At the weekend I received an e-mail from Aqua offering me a credit limit increase from £1,350 to £2,100 which I accepted with immediate effect. On checking my e-mails this morning I have received a message from Aqua informing me that I was nearing my credit limit of £750, meaning that in a matter of three days my credit limit has been decreased from £2,100 to £750!
When I rang Aqua to query this I was informed that I would have to make an official complaint which could take up to 15 days to resolve. They would not confirm the reason for the decrease in my credit limit.
I am, to say the least, unhappy about this situation and feel that my complaint will not be dealt with sympathetically. I check my Experian credit report daily and there are no missed payments or adverse comments showing on it.
I do not want to hear platitudes from NewDay customer service and I would like to accelerate my complaint.
If anyone out there has knowledge of a link, the name of an appropriate person or a relevant telephone number to assist me in this matter, I'd be very grateful.
Hope all of the above makes sense and look forward to reading your replies!
    Frustrated!

    Hi Frustrated22

Write to NewDay, tell them you want an explanation from them in writing, tell them if they fail to respond or you are not satisfied with their response, you will lodge a complaint wiitn the FOS and FCA.

To lodge a complaint with the FOS you will need a 'final response' from NewDay.
