      He should do.
If he doesn't you can ask the court for a copy

Hi I have received this from the court but I do not really understand what it means can anyone advise me please

          cannot upload the photo

the letter from the court states

          it is ordered that
because the order has been made by the court without considering representing from the parties the parties have the right to apply to have the order set aside, varied or stayed. A party wishing to make an application must send or deliver the application to the court to arrive within 7 days.

the matter has been referred to the court for allocation directions.

          regards

At a case management conference (CMC) , the court:reviews the litigants’ compliance with previous directions and looks to see what further directions need to be given to ensure smooth running of the trial
Impossible to say what questions may be asked

Where there is no will the estate goes to direct descendants ,blood relatives etc In laws are not recognised as a party who are entitled to inherited under intestacy rules . So it simply comes down to do you owe him any money due to verbal promise .

I can say to you I’m gonna give you a million pound but unless you do an agreed action in return i won’t have to pay you the million pound in return . So he needs to firstly pursued the court there was a promise and then you got something in return (consideration)

IWhy would you enter into a verbal contract to hand over the estate to him if no contract is or was required to perform such an action.

This case is still ongoing I now have a court hearing date in September. Letter today states lay witness evidence must be exchanged please can you advise me what this means. Also the letter states each party must file a completed pre-trial checklist/listing questionnaire. Does the court send this out to both parties. Thanks in advance

lay witness evidence is your witness statement .(see short cuts panel top right this page) which has to be filed in court and served on claimant by the date stated in the Directions questionnaire.

has this case been allocated to a track yet?
Listing questionnaires (form N170 https://assets.publishing.service.go...6/n170-eng.pdf) are usual only in Fast Track or multitrack hearings.

Your witness statement is your account of what happened, was said or agreed.
Guide lines, and examples can be found here, (https://legalbeagles.info/forums/for...ness-statement) but each statement is going to be individual.

Should be typed in a font such as Times New Roman, size at least 12 with line gap 1.5 and 3.5cm margins
