How would I stand if I was sent a video on social media of a well thought of football player which ending in him calling me a fat bastard. This happened when someone I know bumped into him in a night club and asked him if he would record a birthday message to me before he went with the England team to the eruos. It was the fat bastard bit that I'm not happy about as whether he was asked to do a message or not a high profile player like that shouldn't have agreed to do it specially with all the media attention on fans sending players abuse. I was already insure about my weight and have now been on a diet every since. Just wondered where I stand against it legally.

They (footballers) get called a lot worse on social media and in stadiums. They get 'stick' if they lose, win or draw from football fans.
It's the only profession where you don't have to 'perform to your best', but still get paid a ridiculous amount.
In most professions you'd get 'sacked' within weeks for doing your job poorly.
Imagine working in a factory on a production line, sticking your hand in the air and telling the foreman you want to be 'subbed'. .Last edited by echat11; 16th July 2021, 09:33:AM.

Sadly standards in society have lowered so much that this is not an uncommon expression. Unfortunately, I don't think anything legally available.
Sorry about your health issues. Not a legal comment but strongly recommend, to everyone, Professor Robert Thomas's book How to Live. Currently reduced price on Amazon. Believe in your worth. Best Wishes.
