I have a metered water supply which runs from the water authority's meter under an industrial site to my property. Recently the owners of the industrial site erected, with planning permission, a buildingover my pipe. I have several good reasons to believe that my pipe was severed, including hugely increased metered usage. I believe that there may be another fracture elsewhere in the pipeline under that land. The pipe was put in under an agreement about fifty years ago under what was then farmland. What rights do I have (i) to go on to the land an, (ii) to repair the fracture and (iii) to put in a new pipe elsewhere under that owner's land? Can you inform me of any lawyers who specialise in such claims, preferably in the Midlands, UK?
