Hi - am considering swapping my Fair Rent Housing Association in London for a new build Housing Association built in 2019 in Borwich - I have found that the rent is more expensive than my Housing Association in London which is protected by Fair Rent standards. The new rent in Norwich is double the average social housing rent in Norfolk - Norwich - can I re-negotiate a Fair Rent with the Housing Association do they have a legal obligation to offer Fair Rent as am aware new builds seem to be offered to new tenants at inflated prices? Am an Assured Tenant with the Housing Association of over 20 years and was originally a Secure Council Tenant until I moved into Housing Association Tenured - would this does help to support a case for a review of rent in the New build Housing Association. They are a large social housing provider in Norfolk - am a single over 50 individual living at present on a low income and really wish to move out of London for health and financial reasons - any advice is much appreciated THANKX IN ADVANCE !!
