Fuming let down at last minute by solicitors

Fuming. Im in the process of completing a short chain of house sale/purchases. Tonight just before close of business my buyers solicitors informed my buyer that the solicitors would be closed Tuesday for a funeral. We are supposed to be all completing our house sale and purchases on Tuesday. I am unable to express in words my feelings about the lateness of this notification of the office being closed. Why is everyone off that day? Why all day? Am I missing the point am I unjustified in my anger?

Is there a chain involved?

If so this could prove very expensive for them as they will be in breach of contract.
Likewise if people either side are unable to complete they will be in breach of their contracts, and pass the damages down the line to the original breach.
