  • Day in Court

Could somebody please tell me the format on the day of the trial? I'm the claimant and am a litigant in person in a builder's dispute. Who speaks first and in what order do I submit all my evidence, cross examine the defendant's witness statement etc... It would be great to have an idea of what will be expected of me on the day so that I can be prepared. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

The link below might give you some assistance, assuming the claim is allocated to the small claims track, page 22 onwards.

If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Thank you so much Rob. It's actually a Fast Track claim but hopefully it might not be too different...

        Hello

It will be different - much more legalistic and formal. Costs and risk are also higher. Best to get some early legal advice before you go much further, particularl;y if the builder has a solicitor or barrister.
