Contact them again and your local councillor. If that fails then your MP.

I've contacted them so many times, I will try my MP then. I might just start a claim against them if nothing happens

Surely you want the damp sorted and not the compensation? You would have to prove that the damp is not down to lifestyle (drying clothes indoors, not opening windows) which is may well of course be. Compensation claims will lead you down a completely different route - concentrate in my opinion on getting the damp sorted though of course it is up to you.

Yes, of course I'd rather want it sorting but it's been over 6 months and it's getting worse.

I couldn't wait any longer. I looked at www.housingdisrepairhotline.co.uk (If anyone is looking) spoke to them and they came to my house to view the damage. At least something is being done now. Thanks

Much as I like to see access to justice solutions such as Housing repair Hotline.....I have a few questions?

The organisation does not mention being regulated by the Claims Management Regulator https://www.gov.uk/government/groups...ment-regulator

They mention being able to claim personal injury also; which is definitely a regulated area, so please be cautious, it may all seem hunky dory now but there are usually hidden problems which can emerge later down the line if you don't check a business thoroughly. Let's not forget, these companies are not using magic, they are just following a complaint process and no doubt threatening legal action - all of which you can do yourself. Please keep us informed of progress though, I really hope you get a quick repair.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Just done some further checking as we have had much experience with claims management companies over the years.

There is the company you linked to - Housing Repair Hotline

And the very similarly named but separate company - Housing Repair Helpline. https://housingdisrepairhelpline.co.uk/faqs/

Who have this very clearly displayed on their website:

Flybell Limited t/a Housing Disrepair Helpline. Companies House Number: 9549090. Registered Office: G01 9 Albert Emabankment, London, SE1 7HG.
Flybell Limited is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in respect of regulated claims management activities CRM41342; its registration is recorded on the website.
It is possible to make a claim for housing disrepair yourself, for free, through the Housing Ombudsman.
Housing Disrepair Helpline is a claims management company.

That is what you want to see, clear links to the regulator. If your Housing Repair Hotline is not regulated by the FCA then they would be operating unlawfully so please, please be very cautious or ask them to prove their regulated status?

                      Unquestionably dodgy.

                      All the clues are there:
                      • No claims management authorisation
                      • No registered address
                      • No company name
                      • No VAT number
                      • No terms & conditions
                      • No indication as to fees & charges
