Voluntary Termination and Reasonable Car

My car has no MOT as delayed by covid and then car developed fault and has been in storage for over 6 months and the part is definitely not available, (tried used parts as well as new). Car is 9+ years old and looks very good for age inside and out, no damage to leather seats, carpets, or bodywork and is still insured. Where would I stand as far as reasonable care if I VT my car?
