  • Gladstone Solicitors - CCJ

Hi, Firstly apologies if the answer to this scenario is already available, I have been reading through so many posts and answers but I want to check my specific steps and would welcome the advice.

We have received a letter today in the registered keepers name from Gladstones Solicitors advising that they have received obtained a CCJ against the RK for a few hundred pounds. This is in relation to a Parking ticket issues by Minster Baywatch Limited last year.

I appealed the parking ticket at the time of receipt last year via email and I never received a response to it (I checked my junk emails too) and to be honest promptly forgot about it. I was very surprised to receive the letter from Gladstones today advising there is a CCJ - what do I need to do now? I don't want to pay several hundred pounds to Gladstones for a ticket that we were a few minutes over due to queues within the car park that delayed us getting in/out of the car park (the cameras were on the entrance/exit gate but ticket machine at the other end of the car park).

    Please can someone help?

If you have not received any forms from the court then you could apply for a set aside.

Are you sure there is a CCJ or is the wording confusing and hinting there could be?

Write back, deny any knowledge of this and ask for the details of the alleged judgment.

Thank you - I've not received anything from the Court but the letter does say they have obtained a CCJ against us and we need to make payment before 12th May. I will reply and request information.
