A while back concerning an ongoing neighbour issue with a local gossip monger and slanderer, I lost my cool and barked them off my premises. A few weeks later concerning this episode a policeman came to my door explaining he was here concerning a harassment report from the neighbour in question, he came in, took details and then asked me to sign a PIN form. I stupidly signed this not knowing about it as he assured me this would resolve the issue without any further investigation. I might add here I have never had as much as a parking ticket or any other involvement with the police before or since this incident. After he left as one does I started to mull-over the whole investigation as during the talk with the policeman I had called to my wife to come in and give witness to what had happened and the officer had expressed not wanting this ( I thought evidence especially corroborated evidence was exactly what the police craved most ). After he left I went up to my PC and keyed in exactly what a PIN notice was all about and realised I had been as far as I was concerned , conned into admitting I was in the wrong and should a further incident with this neighbour occur , then I was at a disadvantage legally. I phoned up the officer to complain about this and was rudely told by himself that if I bothered him again he would come straight to the house and take me to the police station ( I assume that meant arrested ). Honestly is this normal ? why did he not want my wife' testimony ,is it normal for a policeman to come out on those circumstances alone without a colleague and should he have verbally tried to silence me by intimidation ??? As said, outside of this I have no record or dealings with the police and I am shocked at their attitude regards public relations. I know the neighbour in question here has in-laws who are police connected , so I am a little suspicious all round .
