Hi. We have a leak on our mains under our kitchen. Problem is its a shared service. We have applied to have our own service but have been told unless our neighbours also do this if we get another leak we may not be able to turn the leak off except on the main stopcock. This would turn not just us but three other houses off. We were told we could cut their supply and cap them to stop our leak but not sure if this is legal. What do we do to stop a leak though under our property. The neighbours have bern told by the water company it would be sensible for them to get their own supply but they don't seem bothered as ours runs into theirs Any advice can we cut them to stop leak.
