  • Medical Misdiagnosis

I am in the position where from my medical records, I believe that a misdiagnosis has been made in the past, which has recently been exposed. I am unsure as to how to go forward, other than to submit a complaint to the NHS services concerned.

The misdiagnosis will lead to me having to have a late and more complicated intervention to resolve the issue which, I am advised may lead to a permanent reduction in the mobility of my arm, which will create ongoing issues that will need to be adapted to.

I would be grateful for any guidance as to the legal aspects that might be pertinent including compensation.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I think there are two many specialist aspects for a forum to be of value. Very best wishes but you need to consult a specialist solicitor. Loads of them chasing medical claims so be careful who you choose.

Thank you for your reply Scot. At this stage, I am just trying to scope things. I think you may well be correct about specialist advice and the pitfalls as well.
