I am interested in purchasing some farmland which is advertised as mineral rights only.
I am new to this so excuse my ignorance, can this land be used for cattle farming and any other uses such as car boot and bootcamp etc?
What are the costs involve in addition to the price of land?

Is it freehold? What is the planning status? Is it agricultural - in which case you could not do some things without change of use.

If it’s mineral rights only, then my understanding is that means you wouldn’t have any rights whatsoever to the surface land.

Very odd - interesting article Huxie. I am not clear if the legislation has gone through yet and I see no indication that you can sell these rights separately (it is more about developers ensuring they do not face a bill further down the line). We need more details of the advertising for the land if we are to be able to help in any way.
