Hello, firstly thank you for reading my issue, really hope I can get some guidance on where to go/what to do.
I moved into a new Taylor Wimpey house in October 20. I employed a professional snagging company to do the snagging list for me and they pointed out 112 items, most of which were on the outside of the building. The one big one was damp in the garage.
The estate is built on a slope and the rear wall of my garage is acting as a retaining wall so it is covered up to half way in earth. Since moving in I have stored things in the garage ready to sort out or use in the summer and now the soft furnishings I have, have white mould growing on them. The Wooden items are damp and starting to warp and other the boxes I have in there have become so damp some of them have just collapsed.
TW have sent the contractors round, but they are saying that garages are meant to be damp! The bottom half of the garage is meant to be tanked, but my neighbour (who shares the other side of the double garage - we both have a single garage each), has dug down and there doesn't appear to be any damp-proofing that we can see. My neighbour appears to be getting answers to his questions as he has threatened legal action, but I am a single Parent and I dont have the funds to back up a legal claim.
On top of that I also have a really boggy garden which floods next to the house if it rains any, and they promised me they would fit a land drain, but yet again ive not heard anything since.
It also transpires, that the boundary fence behind the garage has been put in the wrong place and my neighbour has the larger portion of the small slip of land behind it, so that needs correcting.
I have sent multiple emails to the Customer Relationship Manager, the Customer Services email address and the Director for my region but have had no responses and all the work outlined above is still outstanding. Im sure they think if they ignore me I'll go away.
Is there anything from a legal standpoint that I can send to them to get them to start sorting out my issues?
