  • Dcbl debt collectors

can anyone please help, dcbl have called on my friend a few times where she’s had to pay thousands for unpaid parking fines from years ago, and she’s never received any letters previous to the bailiffs calling? The car park company is bank park management, what legal rights do dcbl have to enforce this, we are completely clueless to what to do, despite trying to fight it in court previously the judge sided with them, this letter she’s received today is for £160 from 2019? my friend is on antidepressants and struggles daily with her mental health, she’s also a full time working single parent too? I’d be more than grateful for any help or advice with this thankyou

High Court Enforcement Officers like DCBL have every right to execute a High Court Writ. However they cannot force entry into a non business address but thry can enter through an open door or window. If you don't let them in they will go away.

For high court enforcement officers (sheriffs) to be able to enforce the debt it had to be originally over £600. They may not be acting as HCEO and mere EO

They cannot enter through a window any more - this changed 7 years ago.

They can only be a common or garden debt collector as any enforcement would have to be carried out by the County Court Bailiff in this situation - providing of course a CCJ had been awarded.

As a debt collector for the past thirty years, I can assure you, you have no idea what you’re talking about, County Court bailiffs are over worked and underpaid and it shows in their effectiveness.

High Court Enforcement officers are far more effective.
