My parents had me sign over my inheritance to them while extremely high on meth and heroin.

Not a helpful response England.
I think you need to see a solicitor asap. I don't think anything you agreed to in that state would be legally valid.
I suspect your parents want to protect you from wasting your money on drugs. Talk to them first. Get help. May things go well.

When you see a solicitor try to make sure you're not extremely high on meth and heroin.Originally posted by Scot22 View PostNot a helpful response England.

Good. One wonders how you can sign over your inheritance to your parents? Presumably it is still their money and they can decide where it goes when they die.Originally posted by Scot22 View PostIt is deplorable to try to joke about someone suffering with an addiction. I will waste no more time responding to your comments.

Why do you assume it is the parent's money?Originally posted by EnglandPi View Post

It could be a legacy received from another party
It could be an agreement to vary a will post death of testator.
You will learn not to assume anything, but ask probing questions prior to commenting

Having posted the inheritence question myself originally I think it is a fair question. It is true that it may be another inheritance but we generally think of it coming from the parents (who are still alive and can choose what they do). It was an attempt to gain clarification of the position, nothing more. I entirely agree that this is not something to joke about although I suspect the original post may not be genuine. Perhaps the OP can come back and tell us more.
